What can N&LORNA do for you?

1. Scholarship funding available for continuing education of members who meet scholarship-funding criteria.
2. Financial assistance for Atlantic and National Conferences who meet funding guidelines.

4. Funding for members who have qualified for initial certification in Perioperative Nursing from CNA who meet funding guidelines.

How does N&LORNA provide Professional Development for its membership?

1. Newsletters three times a year. Articles that can earn continuous learning hours for recertification.
2. Annual Provincial Conferences. Education sessions that earn continuous learning hours for recertification . Exhibits of the latest surgical equipment and supplies. Networking with Perioperative personnel across the province and the country.

4. Updating members regarding Perioperative Post-Basic and RN First Assist Modules at the Centre for Nursing Studies and other educational facilities.

What type of N&LORNA membership are available?

Active Membership	$35.00 yearly fee
Registered Nurse who functions in the Perioperative role whose primary professional focus is direct patient care during the intraoperative phase of surgical suite or research pertaining to the intraoperative care of the patient or teaching of skills to student nurses and/or staff in the intraoperative setting. The member must reside in Newfoundland and Labrador. The member has paid the required active membership fee. The member has voting privileges and can hold office. The member receives a yearly subscription to the CORN Journal and membership in ORNAC.
Associate Membership	$30.00 yearly fee
Operating Room Technician, PARR nurse, former Operating Room Nurse and former PARR Nurse who has paid the requires associate membership fee. This member shall not have voting privileges and cannot hold an Executive position. Participation in N&LORNA activities is greatly encouraged and valued. The member receives a yearly subscription to the CORN Journal.
Honorary Membership	No fee
Past Members of N&LORNA who have been recognized for their contribution to the growth of N&LORNA. Such membership may be conferred at an AGM, the name having been approved by the Executive. This member will not incur a membership fee, is non-voting, and cannot hold an Executive office. Participation in N&LORNA activities is greatly encouraged and valued.
